Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence

The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence will engage in the EU related: teaching and training activities, research, scientific collaborations and outreach events.
Promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of European Union studies in Albania and generate knowledge and insights in support of Europeanization of Public Policies and strengthen the role of the EU in Albania;

The Centre will gather different actors with expertise in EU related studies and high level experts and researchers. In particular the project will involve both professors and researchers from different countries (EU and non EU), different faculties at Tirana University and important independent
researchers. The Centre will bring together the coordinators of Jean Monnet Modules at Tirana University, in order to create a synergy among specialized researchers in EU studies and projects. The activities will be focused on the teaching skills and competence for students in the EU related studies in order to enable them to further acknowledge the impact of the integration process on the endorsement of structural and fundamental reforms in Albania.

Within EPPAL activities we will develop 5 teaching courses addressing EU studies in different academic disciplines engaging at least 210 students. The creation of a Centre of Excellence with a European and non-European visibility and scope will improve the attractiveness of a Higher Education institution like Tirana University and will involve University of Gjirokaster in the Jean Monnet Network: Erasmus+.
